In May 2023, I was invited to serve as Creative Design Director for a nonprofit organization called Pages for Pediatrics (PFP), and helped launch its first chapter at the University of Michigan. I illustrated, co-wrote, and published our debut children's book, Leela’s Braids, which addresses alopecia areata. PFP creates storybooks that normalize patient adversity, promote disability representation, and reduce stigma around pediatric conditions. Centered around relatable characters, our stories aim to ease anxiety and foster hope and solidarity. To ensure equitable access, we fundraise to produce and donate our books to pediatric patients and families nationwide.
